Selene is designed with privacy in mind. We collect minimal information necessary to provide you with our services:

Information stored locally on your device:

• Your preferred language setting
• Notification preferences
• Name and date of birth (used to calculate your zodiac sign, natal chart, and personalized forecasts)
• Selected zodiac sign for personalized recommendations
• App usage preferences (theme, display settings)

This information is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to our servers. A limited, non-identifying subset (such as your approximate age bracket, zodiac sign, and the thematic context of the current screen — e.g., tarot, horoscope, natal chart) may be passed to our advertising partner in ad requests to help display more relevant advertisements. This data is not sufficient to identify you personally.

Our application uses the following third-party services that may collect information:

Yandex Mobile Ads

We use Yandex Mobile Ads to display advertisements in our app. Yandex may collect and use data for personalized advertising. This includes:

• Device identifiers (Advertising ID)
• IP address
• Device and network information
• Ad interaction data
• Non-identifying personalization signals provided by the app (approximate age, zodiac sign, and the thematic context of the screen where the ad is shown) to improve ad relevance

You can opt out of personalized advertising by resetting or limiting your device's Advertising ID in your device settings.

Microsoft Clarity (Mobile SDK)

We partner with Microsoft Clarity and Microsoft Advertising to understand how users use and interact with our app through behavioral metrics, heatmaps, and session replay so we can improve product usability, optimize in-app flows, and support marketing performance analysis.

• Interaction and screen behavior data needed for analytics and UX diagnostics
• Technical metadata related to app usage, device, and session context
• Data collected via SDK telemetry and similar tracking technologies used in mobile apps
• Consent-controlled analytics/ads storage signals where applicable

This data is used for app optimization, fraud/security diagnostics, and advertising effectiveness measurement where applicable.

We don't intentionally send directly identifying user data to Clarity (for example, name, email, phone, or free-form personal text). We also avoid placing PII in custom IDs/tags.

How We Use Your Information

The locally stored information is used solely to:

• Save your app preferences for a personalized experience
• Display moon phase notifications based on your settings
• Provide zodiac-specific recommendations

We prioritize the security of your information. Since all user preferences are stored locally on your device, your data remains under your control. We do not have access to this information and cannot retrieve it.

However, please be aware that no method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Children's Privacy

Our application does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. Since we do not collect personal information from any users, this concern is minimized. However, if you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Clear all locally stored data by clearing the app's data or uninstalling the application
• Opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings
• Disable notifications at any time through app settings or device settings
• Request information about what data we have about you (none is collected by us)
